About Tremorpulse
Last reviewed: 2026
Tremorpulse is an independent, ad-supported website that displays live earthquake activity worldwide. It was built to give anyone — students, coastal residents, travelers, or the simply curious — a fast, clear, no-clutter view of what's shaking right now, without needing to parse raw scientific data feeds.
Where the data comes from
Every number on this site — magnitude, depth, location, and timing — comes directly from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Hazards Program, via their public GeoJSON summary feeds. USGS is the authoritative earthquake monitoring agency for the United States and aggregates seismic network data on a global scale. We do not modify, delay, or estimate any of the reported values.
How the site is built
Tremorpulse fetches the USGS feed through a lightweight server-side cache, refreshed roughly once a minute, and renders it as a live table and interactive map in your browser. There is no login, no paywall, and no tracking beyond standard analytics and advertising used to keep the site free to run.
What this site is not
Tremorpulse is not an emergency alert system and should never be used as your sole source of safety information during or after an earthquake. For official warnings, evacuation orders, or tsunami alerts, always consult your national or regional geological survey and local civil authorities.
